If it gets Jakey active then it must be good! He is never interested in toys but he actually likes this. It moves smoothly and at a nice pace as to not freak my cats out. I didn’t test it on carpet so cannot attest to whether that would work but it worked nicely on my hardwood floor. It even hit the wood transition strip and went over it. It’s simple to use and the battery seems to last for a good amount of time. I think the price is very good for the quality. Like I said…if Jakey is happy, then I’m happy.
The little ball keeps my cat entertained, only complain is that it used to make a grinding noise, I took it apart and found out the motor shaft was too long, solved quickly using a file, also it does not roll around as I hoped, it has more of a vibrating motion than movement, I would prefer it to be a few bucks cheaper since I do not think it is worth what it costs
First the good… 1. I love that it's rechargeable, and can be activated by movement because it did capture my cat's attention. 2. I guess it's a good value for an electronic cat toy. Now the not so good… 1. It lasted only 5 weeks before it was no longer holding a charge and no longer moving. Now it just lights up and shakes around for a few seconds before dying again. 2. I wish the ball had a little "find me" feature with a chip where your phone could find it. It hides in obscure, dark places, like under the refrigerator, behind the toilet, and then burns itself out so you can't see it. 3. My cat was a bit intimidated by it at first, it could be more soft around the edges, and maybe a little more lightweight. Hoping for improvements on your next version, or I won't be buying another one.
My dog absolutely loves this toy. He loves it so much that he brings it to me just so I can turn it on, haha! The battery life is amazing. I've charged this only once and it's been almost 2 weeks since the last charge.
Watching our cat hide so he an pounce on his ball is just as entertaining for us as it is him.
